PORTUGUESE WINE FOR NEWCOMERS
What is it?
This is an English lectured course, by our own Olavo Silva Rosa, for everyone who appreciates Portuguese wine and would like to understand it better.
How Portuguese wine got side-tracked of the industrial revolution and, unintentionally, it became a mechanism of cultural preservation?
This course is a reflection about Portugal's main wine regions, their climate, their soils and how blending makes the grape variety become irrelevant.

So who is Olavo?
Olavo Silva Rosa is responsible for Praça's wines and Winery, in love with stories and rocks.
You can find him in his telluric lair, our eno-geological mezzanine.
This is where drinking connoisseurs rest from their everyday hustle and bustle, where glasses fly over the table and touch thirsty mouths, where bottles open generously and where his family of rocks serenely rest on the height of their 200 million years.
